Allison is a nutritional consultant that promotes the importance of managing health through sound food and lifestyle choices. She spends her time teaching others to nourish the body, mind and spirit through a combination of proper exercise, adequate sleep, stress management, and healthy eating habits. She promotes a diet based on delicious, clean, and nourishing foods, believing that an enjoyable diet is simply more sustainable in the long run.
Allison was not always in the field of nutrition. She started out with a business degree and became a sales manager for different luxury hotel companies. Over time, her positive nature took a turn for the worse, she put on weight, and found that she dreaded going into work every morning.
It was not until after taking a personality test that she realized she simply was not meant to be a sales person. Around that time, she read a quote from Steve Jobs that resonated with her and gave her the confidence to make a major change. Jobs had stated, “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”
At that moment, determined not to waste anymore time, Allison quit her job, and went back to school for a second degree in nutrition & dietetics, a subject she had been passionate about since a very young age. In the last couple years, Allison has developed a thriving practice and jumps out of bed every morning, thrilled to start the day.
